What you'll do
- Plan, prepare, and maintain daily, monthly, preventive maintenance checklists, task lists, and mould history cards.
- Carry out mould breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and restoration for moulds used on injection moulding machines ranging from 80T to 4500T.
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) of moulds to minimize breakdowns, improve mould life, and ensure uninterrupted production.
- Coordinate with senior engineers and production teams for mould improvement, modification, correction, and maintenance activities.
- Inspect mould components and identify issues such as wear, damage, leakage, flash, alignment problems, cooling issues, and parting-line defects.
- Handle Hot Runner Systems, including HRS, YUDO, and Sylvanite, for maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
- Operate and utilize conventional tool-room machines such as milling, grinding, lathe, drilling, and related machining equipment for mould repair and modification.
- Carry out mould fitting, assembly, dismantling, correction, polishing, and component replacement as required.
- Ensure moulds are maintained in a safe, reliable, and production-ready condition before release to production.
- Implement mould safety improvements and verify safety-related features and conditions of moulds.
- Maintain 5S standards, housekeeping, cleanliness, and a safe working environment in the tool room and mould maintenance area.
- Prepare and maintain maintenance records, inspection reports, mould history, checklists, and other tool-room documentation in accordance with ISO 9000 requirements.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, vernier calipers, and profile measuring/checking instruments for dimensional inspection.

Experienced in handling moulds for injection moulding machines ranging from 80T to 4500T. Skilled in conventional machining operations including milling, grinding, lathe, and drilling, along with Hot Runner Systems such as HRS, YUDO, and Sylvanite. Proficient in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers and vernier calipers for dimensional inspection. Strong knowledge of 5S, mould safety, maintenance documentation, ISO 9000 requirements, and continuous improvement activities, with a focus on maintaining mould quality, reliability, and production readiness.
