What you'll do
- 1. APQP & Quality Documentation Management
- Create Process Flow Diagrams (PFD) tailored to the manufacturing sequences of various new projects.
- Develop Potential Failure Mode & Effect Analysis (PFMEA) documents to proactively mitigate manufacturing risks.
- Formulate Special Characteristics Summary Sheets (SCSS) to track and monitor critical-to-quality parameters.
- Author IATF 16949 audit documentation, compliance reports, and quality validation records as required.Maintain all core quality planning paperwork as living documents throughout the product life cycle.
- 2. Jig & Fixture Engineering
- Design manufacturing jigs and fixtures from scratch using 3D modeling software for new project rollouts.
- Support the UK Production Engineering Department (UK PED) to iterate, troubleshoot, and improve existing fixture designs.
- Achieve optimal tool ergonomics, reduction in setup time, and repeatable component positioning across production lines.
- 3. Cross-Functional Team (CFT) Leadership & Design Reviews
- Lead formal engineering review meetings alongside the CFT to align on design layouts and functional constraints.
- Conduct rigorous PFD and PFMEA review workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to capture all production risks.
- Coordinate peer reviews for final tool approvals with designated team members before releasing files to fabrication.
- Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills
- CATIA Proficiency (Essential): skills in 3D modeling, assembly design, and detailing modules are strict prerequisites in Jig & fixture .
- Core Quality Tools: Deep structural knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and IATF 16949 audit requirements.
- APIS Software (Desirable): Prior experience or operational knowledge of APIS software for FMEA and risk analysis is highly preferred.
- GD&T Expertise: Excellent understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing to interpret drawings accurately.

What we are looking for
- Result-oriented Mechanical Engineering Professional (B.Tech) with 5+ years of experience specializing in New Product Introduction (NPI), APQP documentation, and advanced Jig & Fixture design. Proficient in CATIA for developing robust tooling solutions, with a proven track record of supporting international teams (like UK PED). Expert in driving risk-mitigation through PFD, PFMEA (with knowledge of APIS), and managing IATF 16949 compliance. Strong cross-functional leader skilled in conducting CFT reviews to optimize manufacturing processes and product quality.
