What you'll do

Tooling & Equipment Commodity Buyer is responsible for the development and execution of sourcing and supplier strategies for CAPEX. T&E Commodity Buyer leads the sourcing process, complete supplier negotiations, manage the supplier panel & ensure supplier performance. 

  • Lead commodity strategy and structure supplier panel 
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers to onboard if required to support commodity strategies  
  • Monitor supplier performance and drive corrective action if required 
  • Responsible for achieving assigned cost reduction goals and other KPIs 
  • Lead supplier RFQ and nomination process, negotiate all necessary purchasing contracts  
  • Identify innovation capabilities of suppliers and pursue technology advancements
  • Negotiate payment terms to achieve financial objectives 
  • Support acquisition process and drive competitiveness on T&E investments 
  • Ensure supplier risk management

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or engineering 
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing in an industrial environment (ideally automotive)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Analytical thinking and data driven oriented 
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Fluent in English (mandatory) and Spanish (preferred) 
  • At ease with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office tools
